More information on what, where, how and why.

The program seems pretty nice, but I really would like to know why it selects some files, where it searches for it (just c:\ or all drives?, USB drives included?) What does Deep scan mean, where does it perform the scan? Windows internal?...

Delete at reboot

Files that are locked or can not be deleted, an option should be given to delete after boot.

Let us group the scan-results,

by default. It is way to much information when ALL the files that are suggested for deleting is spread all over the screen. A "default grouping" would give the user much more control, and might make the users actually CARE what files they are...

Allow a sort of results by file type or directory. i.e. I want to keep all .mp3 files not delete them yet I have to sort through thousands of results to find and remove those individually.

Add a horizontal scroll bar to the results list. Exclude ALL files containing the string 'NOTDEL'. Add an exclusion to floppy drives (A:\, B:\) by default.

You have some listed with red highlights and others not. It would help if those differences were explained at the time you are scanning. You could expand that feature and color code all the different types of garbage files, each type of garbage fil

In the options dialog, you have a “Ribbon” UI (fat buttons only), no text. A) it is not consistent with the main “Menu” UI, B) Add text descriptions (I am NOT!!! a 4000 year old egyption able to read your hieroglyphics!!!) either always or as pop up

Make all of the dialogs and menus consistent, using same user interface

Give it a more professional sounding name.

I think using the word "garbage" in your software title makes it sound like it is junk.

The program should give a recommended setting (using those words, so that there is no confusion) and a radical (Complete) setting. It should also give an option to clean out the windows update logs and hotfix uninstallers. Google chrome should be sup

Roll over the word or have a question mark next the the word to find out what it is.

For example: "Windows Internal" should have the description of what it is so people know if they want to scan and delete or not.

Ran the scan.Saw alot of files listed as temps with just numbers knowing windows for what it is i would be afraid that not knowing exactly what program it was associated with I might cause windows to crash. This is coming from someone who has to...

Do not install to C:\, Do not phone home at startup, Do not insist on startup with Windows start - these things make me nervous!

The configuration file (XPsp2) should be placed in User\Application Data, NOT in C:\. it is hard enough to keep a computer organised without this rogue behaviour. I see no need to to tell the authors anything or to look for updates at every start...

be able to see how much space could be recovered by accepting the recommend deletions, or the deletions after I exclude some of the recommended deletions, and to see how much space was recovered when the program has completed its deletion operation.

Fix pop-up tag that says scan is complete when I had just started the scan. PLUS Needs to be able to delete or MOVE or cut a file that it shows.

So obviously, it needs a right click menu that allows all regular right-click things,AND very much needs to be able to show exactly what files it's associated with and the complete file path. Some things I have no idea what it could be or is used...
